"Destination Paradise."
A Polynesian influence at main entrance exhibit, to  the Philadelphia Flower Show

This year the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's, "Philadelphia  Flower Show" for 2004, took on what I find to be a somewhat non-descript allure. This year's theme is "Destination Paradise."

As you enter the main display there is a Polynesian presence, conjuring up a rain forest, with orchids nestled around tall trees.

The backdrop to this  was that of rock face openings carved of faces  representing Polynesian imagery.

There was also  Hawaiian musical entertainment adding to the aura of this display. This show also featured Japanese "moribana" naturalistic arrangements.

Unlike last year's  defining theme surround the Puerto Rican town of Loiza, as the main display. This year the objective of  the Pennsylvania

Horticultural Society, for the 2004 Philadelphia Flower Show was to present a broad experi-ence for flower lovers. This create your own fantasy, if you will, was a successful one.

The Philadelphia Flower Show  the oldest (175 years old), largest, and most popular  of flower shows anywhere.

This show, also had a 100 booths marketplace of items for the garden from the practical to the imaginative. Catering to your every garden fantasy.
