New York's Easter Parade 2003

It's Easter again and this is New York's Easter Parade. Easter Parade? This is significant to the fact that
it's not a parade in the strictest sense. 'Street Fair' seems more appropriate. But who am I to say, after all there's is a
wonderful mix of individuals parading around Fifth A venue in this Easter Parade, looking to catch the eye of any official
looking cameraman. In the mean time  they humor the rest of us. I think.
All this does not belittle the wonderful efforts that goes into these hats by these participants. The New York Easter
Parade is my favorite event, because when you get right down to it; for the majority of these folks this is just fun, fun.
The pleasure of receiving compliments for their special efforts.

Segway bike Coolest guy on the block. This is Segway transportation. Computerized dynamic control . Just lean for navigation.
I call this shot atmosphere. [Caught off guard, almost]. The best kind of action photography. Well... that's what I think.
Subway Token Hat New York City subway token now part of a bygone era. Very nice hat.
Roaring twenties attire So ya wanna be a gangsta? Cool! This was an era when gentlemen dressed and females knew how to wear hats. Where are they?
Saint Thomas Episcopal The ebb and flow from St. Thomas Episcopal. While this was a fun day for many. The true meaning was not forgotten.
Fortunoffs window Fortunoff's Easter window.
[some glass reflection].
Imperial Court of New York 'The Imperial Court of New York'

I wouldn't know folks.
Easter Bunny Human Manikin This fellow stands still as you see him. When money is deposited to his pail he speaks. "Thank you Easter Bunny." Unreal! God bless America.
Astronaut celebration This effort entitled "United We Stand" as explained: Mainly a celebration of our Astronauts. Nice work.
Crown of thorns hat design This is New York, and many of these participants  are career inclined. This gentleman makes jewelry, his crown of thorns is a well designed piece.
Victorian erra dressed Victorian era expression.
Wearing an ensemble rather than just a hat is so much nicer. Don't you think?
Roving rover_bot 21st century version of the 'Monkey and the Organ Grinder.' This rover gets into your face [knees]: left hand snapping and right hand extending his collection-cup.
