India Independence Day Parade and Festival 2003

is the Federation of Indian Associations twenty-fourth India
Independence Day
Parade and festival event, celebrating the 56th year of India's
independence from
British rule. This 3,50,000 member organization bring members
from the Tri-state
area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) to Manhattan's,
Madison Avenue for
this India Independence day celebration.
As New Yorkers gather along the procession route, this event treads it's way along
Madison Avenue to *Madison Square Park, for a festival of culture. Here, a variety of
tasty Indian meals can be had while preparation moves forward at the 'Cultural Stand'
for this event. In what will be a stream of exciting classical and folk dancers. View
