The-Melting pot is an informed web space. A unique space in cyber land defined by a photographic experience of north American and Caribbean culture, in Philadelphia and New York. In this mosaic, or salad bowl--some will alternately suggest. We also feature popular cultural events in other northeast cities. Our mission statement: Explore the American northeast, and the Caribbean American Diaspora activities here in the states. Living our Caribbean culture and benefiting from the American experiment, as Caribbean American people.

Knowledge is essential in making informed decisions. Contrary to the popular saying: "Ignorance is bliss." Ignorance is self-oppression. Success in this society requires an awareness of its fast changing pace.

Every attempt is made here to deliver useful information on health and social issues. Here we'll also explore Issues of mass media technology. As industries and politicians use these technologies to divide us by appealing to our likes and dislikes of one others.

Any discussion of the American melting pot would not be complete without a discussion of its common interest. In the "Good books and movies," pages, we'll share with you books, mainly in the social category that inform and enlighten, plus other categories.

What do you think about current events? I'll try to put in my two cents in a monthly commentary, on issues Caribbean and Caribbean-American.

In this great American melting pot this mosaic, this salad bowl, we'll experience the fascinating history of the struggles and achievements of immigrant life in the good books and movies page -- little do most of us realize what we can learn from one another. After all, we do live in a melting pot -- some would say a salad bowl -- not in a bottle.
